About the Designer

Julia Burnbaum is the self-taught designer of the fresh, new eco friendly knitwear line Juleselin. Made in San Francisco, Ca in a friendly fair trade, sweatshop-free environment, this environmentally friendly, sustainable collection is created from organic cotton, bamboo and recycled fabrications.

Showing customers that they don’t have to sacrifice style to be green, Juleselin is rooted with classic ladies fashion trench, swing and pea coat silhouettes. Feminine touches like ruffled collars; face-framing hoods and belted waistlines can be seen throughout the organic coats collection. Most importantly, Julia is doing her part in protecting the environment. “My business is representative of who I am and what I value.   I wanted it to be something that I could be proud of.  I feel that I am simply being a responsible citizen and manufacturer.” 

Not only is the environmentally friendly knitwear collection made using organic fabrics, dyes are low impact and Julia is serious about green, sustainable office practices such as recycling shipping and packaging materials. To top it all off, Juleselin has partnered with environmental organisation American Forests, which for every Juleselin purchase made, plants a tree "in the right place for the right reason".

Juleselin also regularly gives back to the community by supporting the following charities: Dress For Success, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Stephen A. Comunale, Jr. Family Cancer Foundation and Marin History Museum.
